Scientific work department – is autonomous structural subsection of the university, which provides the organization, control and coordination of all types of scientific activity of the educational establishment and the implementation of its results in academic process.

Aims and functions of scientific work department
1. Planning and improvement of the perspective and current scientific activity in the university.
2. Planning, organization and control of the accomplishment of the scheduled and state confirmed research works of the institutes, departments, subdivisions of the university, control over the authenticity of research papers.
3. Planning and organization of research and educational workers’ high-quality training and control over that process.
4. Annual preparation of the scientific works’ projects and the demands about competitive state financing.
5. Preparation and filing to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine annual reports about scientific activity of the university, and annual reports about research papers with state financing and research papers on initiative basis.
6. Introduction of the registration and static reporting on the issue of research work.
7. Analysis of scientific activity in the university and providing the report materials, concerning research work to the Ukrainian Institute for Scientific, Technical and Economic Information, and Institute of Innovative Technology and Education.
8. Preparation of the suggestions, concerning the kinds and standards of the volume of research work and pedagogical stuff, its analyses and conclusions as to its productivity.
9. Working out the perspective and annual plans for the development and improvement of the material resources of the research work, together with the faculties, departments, laboratories, centers.
10. Organization of the work of the board of young scientists and the student scientific society.
11. Organization and realization of the scientific congresses, conferences, symposiums.
12. The registration of the edition of monographs, organization and control over the edition of the guidelines, informational letters.
13. Preparation and presentation of the university proposals as to the presentation of the best scientific papers to the departmental and state tenders, and presentation of the best scientific works of the assistant-workers and the students for the awarding the state and national prizes.
14. Organization and realization of the international scientific partnership.
15. Planning and realization of the supervisory testing over the activity of the research department, departments, laboratories and others subdivisions, which are connected with the research work.
16. Studying and generalization of the positive leading experience in leading technologies of the conduction of research work in others educational establishments and scientific institutions, including foreign countries, and its introduction in the university.
17. The popularization of the scientific achievements, and theirs realization in the field of social life, and opportune giving the prizes to the best scientists of the university.
